People, Places and Things is an exhilarating new play about surviving in the modern world. The story focuses on Emma, a thirty-something actress who thinks she is having the time of her life, until she finds herself in rehab. Her first step is to admit that she has a problem. But the problem isn’t with Emma; it’s with everyone else. And when intoxication feels like the only way to survive, how can she ever sober up? From award-winning playwright Duncan Macmillan (1984, Lungs, Every Brilliant Thing), comes this mesmerizing trip into addiction, rehab, identity, and ultimately, recovery.
People, Places, and Things is produced in partnership with LRADAC and The Courage Center. Both organizations offer a wide array of prevention, intervention and treatment programs to the Midlands community. Join us after our matinee on Sunday, September 29th for a talkback featuring representatives from LRADAC and The Courage Center, as well as members of the artistic team of People, Places, and Things, as they discuss addiction, recovery, and the arts.
