THE TRUSTUS PLAYWRIGHTS’ FESTIVAL
MONTGOMERY
By Stephen Brown
Directed by Sharon Graci
AUGUST 23-31, 2019

Megan hates country music singer Rick Montgomery, so she and her best friend Kimmy have decided that tonight’s concert will be his last. As they run from the cops, songs will be sung, people will be shot, and fourteen-year-olds will discover the actual difficulty in exacting revenge.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT: Stephen Brown’s work has been developed or presented by MCC, Page 73, Primary Stages, ESPA, the Road Theatre’s Summer Play Festival, EST/Youngblood, and the Aurora Theatre. He’s been a past winner of the Global Age Project at the Aurora Theatre, a finalist for the Juilliard Playwriting Fellowship, and has received nominations for the Terrence McNally Award and the Boise Contemporary Theatre River Prize. He’s been a member of Page 73’s writers group Interstate 73, Youngblood at EST, and has held residencies at SPACE on Ryder Farm and with the Rockefeller Brothers Fund.

I.P.W.I.C. MATINEES: At Trustus, we don’t want ticket prices to keep theatre-lovers from being able to experience great professional theatre. For our non-musical Main Stage productions, we offer one I.P.W.I.C. (I PAY WHAT I CAN) matinee the first Sunday of a run. Tickets can be purchased for a donation of $1 (of course we’ll take more), and they are available on a first come first served basis one hour prior to curtain at the box office window. Patrons wishing to guarantee seats are still able to reserve preferred seating for these performances at the regular matinee ticket price.
