*****************************************************
Are you an actor who sings or a singer who acts? What a fantastic treat we have in store! Join us for this really fun way to strengthen your ability to act the song and make it your own. This hands-on class for performers led by vocalist and entertainer *Jonathan Whitton & musical director Tom Beard gives students the opportunity to workshop and strengthen analytic and interpretative abilities in song. The class will explore the sense of place, character and poetry, and examine specific moments and changes within each song and, in the process, make the song your own. Each performing student should select and prepare selections of 2 contrasting songs. Dependent upon class size and limited time, we may not be able to workshop entire songs. The session aims to provide participants with more flexibility, clarity, integrity, and empathy through song. Please attempt to have present songs that have not been "overplayed" in auditions (i.e. absolutely no Phantom/Les Mis).

NOTE: We will need to ensure that there are enough participants to conduct the workshop. Please contact the Trustus Box Office to sign-up…803/ 254-9732.

NEW! THE CUSTOMIZED CLASS
We are now offering this tailor-made option for self-selected groups of 4-8 participants who wish to train together and pursue common performance objectives. You gather the people and name your goal(s) and we will design and facilitate the course. The fee is $15 per participant per hour of instruction. Schedule negotiable.

INDIVIDUAL INSTRUCTION
Private coaching sessions are available. For more details, contact the Trustus Box Office @ 803/ 254-9732.
